He Couldn't Contain the Christmas Excitement
The photo you're looking at is absolutely meme-worthy since there is seriously nothing better than a smiling dog. To make matters even cuter, he happens to be wearing a Santa Claus costume- beard included. His parents were away, so his babysitter dressed him up and thought mom and dad would love to see a picture. It accidentally looks like he's a bit angry, but don't be fooled; it's just a very awkward smile.
This dog was all smiles when asked to pose for a picture and accidentally looked a bit scary during the smiling attempt, but that's okay; we still really love it.
It's Time to Take the Phone Back
The best part of having a sibling is exchanging presents when Christmas comes around, although the sister in this picture would likely disagree. That's because she spent a ton of money on a brand new iPhone for her brother, yet he couldn't afford a single thing. Instead, he gave her a box with a Spongebob meme inside of it with the intention of clearing up the very awkward situation.
This sibling gift exchange was incredibly disappointing for the sister who gifted her brother a brand-new iPhone yet got absolutely nothing in return other than a box and a piece of paper.
Christmas Gift Wrapping Gone Wrong
If you know anything about the holidays, then you're probably aware that wrapping presents can be pretty hard at times. Whether the paper is too short or the gift is too big, things don't always go according to plan. That's why some improvising often has to take place, which is exactly what happened here. There wasn't enough paper to finish wrapping, so they grabbed some colored markers and got to work.
Based on the cute drawings, this was probably made by a kid, so we're pretty impressed with the amount of effort that went into making up for the missing spots.
She Had Her Fun With Tattoo Markers
Mom might have realized that both art and beauty school won't be in her six-year-old's future after she was gifted some tattoo markers for Christmas. She disappeared for a good thirty minutes before quietly returning to the family after turning herself into some kind of art exhibit. She kind of seems a bit angry, but that could just be because of the super dark eyebrows on her forehead and everything else, for that matter.
She seriously managed to make herself look like the angriest six-year-old on the planet when deciding to choose this look, as well as her own face for a blank canvas.
The Fluffiest Christmas Photo-Bomb
This cat was pretty annoyed when he realized that his family was taking a group picture for the holidays, and he wasn't even invited. That's why he made the very bold decision of jumping in front of the camera when everyone was in a perfect position. Some might say this cat absolutely ruined their family photo, but like us, you probably think this is the cutest photobomb you've ever seen.
We're hoping this picture was sent out for that year's family Christmas card because it would definitely make everyone laugh when they open it after getting it in the mail.
Gingerbread House: Disastorous Edition
Expectations are high for anyone building a gingerbread house, but that's not the mindset this person was keeping when they got to work. It seems like laying it out flat was actually the plan, and we're not mad about it. Every corner and crevice of these cookies are so perfect that you forget it's supposed to be standing upright. To make things even better, it also probably tastes incredibly delicious.
At first glance, this thing might seem like a pile of mess, but the longer you look at it, the quicker you'll realize that it's somehow flawless and also beautiful.
Grandma and Her Rated-R Sweater
This grandma went out to buy a cute sweater for Christmas but came home wearing something much wilder than initially intended. She thought she was looking at nothing more than a few reindeer having fun when this sweater caught her eye in the store, but she didn't realize what fun they were actually having. Needless to say, this might not actually be child appropriate, but this was guaranteed to be a funny situation.
If nobody ever pointed it out to her- this grandma could have won a Christmas sweater party without even realizing the reason why everyone was laughing so hard at her.
Ordered a Pride Tree but Got the Scraps Instead
The couple that ordered this pride item decided to take things comedically when they ordered a Christmas tree, and this disappointing bundle of colorful branches showed up. Instead of crying from sadness, they ended up crying with laughter after they compared what they received to the picture that was online. As you can probably see, it's not as big as originally pictured, and almost every other aspect of it is different than what they anticipated.
These people were pretty optimistic when they ordered a pride tree from a seller in China but ended up being disappointed when what they got was nothing like the picture.
His Christmas Gift Became an Air Freshener
Somewhere out there, the perfume one husband bought for his wife as a Christmas gift became an air freshener in their bathroom. Based on its final location, we're just going to assume that she didn't really like the smell of it, which is why it's being stored on top of the toilet. Although this is actually a really good brand of perfume and it's quite expensive as well- somebody should probably tell her that.
The wife that was on the receiving end of this gift basically told her husband that she doesn't really like it without even having to actually say a single word.
A Very Icelandic White Christmas View
A white Christmas is what most people are hoping for when the holidays come, but this granted wish went a bit overboard. So much snow came down here in Iceland that it looked infinite from the inside. There might certainly have been more than initially expected for this sister, who rented an apartment in the country for the holiday, which is why she sent this picture to her family back home.
This sister might have been stuck inside for Christmas, or maybe even into the New Year, but that doesn't mean that there was a lack of holiday vibes going on here.
For a Singular Brussel Sprout Based Dinner
He wanted to buy a good amount of brussel sprouts to cook for Christmas dinner but didn't get what he wanted or needed. There was an option of buying one quantity of brussel sprouts, but according to the grocery store, one meant a single and individual serving which certainly wasn't expected. We're assuming that this guy had to run back to the story in order to have enough vegetables to cook for the big meal.
It seems like this grocery shopper meant to buy one kilo of brussel sprouts, but there was a big miscommunication when they made and sent the final order in online.
When Family Love Comes With an Expiration Date
The thing about parents is that their love is usually permanent and unconditional, and that's exactly what this guy thought until he misinterpreted this Christmas card. His parent just wanted to be sweet, so they, of course, explained how much they loved him. Things were going fine until they mentioned the following year, which grammatically ended up sending a completely different message than what they actually meant to say in the first place.
The original poster of this picture was a bit surprised when he got this letter from his parents and realized that their love suddenly and jokingly had an expiration date.
An Artsy Solution to a Very Big Problem
During the holiday season, tons of gifts are being mailed worldwide, meaning that something is destined to go wrong at some point. The local distribution center in this person's town ended up holding onto the gifts that were supposed to be sent to their brother-in-law. After a couple of weeks, they created this card to let him know what was going on, and it was a very creative way to get the point across.
The brother-in-law who sent this postcard could have just settled for a phone call and an apology, but instead, he decided to get creative with some ink and even a cow stamp.
When Moms (almost) Always Know Best
A girl once told her mom that she thinks bees are great, and that single statement officially cued the never-ending bee gifts and collectibles. There's no denying that the thought is simply the sweetest, and it seems like she even had fun buying her daughter everything bee related. She went all in when it came to the holiday season, which meant that every single present had to have a bee on it.
Moms should know their kids better than anyone, and although this mom held on pretty tight to the whole bee thing, it's really sweet that she actually made an effort.
Someone Knew Dad's Taste in Clothes
Nobody knows dad more than his own family, which means that they might have done a really great job with the gift-giving on this Christmas day. As you can probably tell, he's holding the same outfit that he's wearing while opening presents. It's basically the perfect gift for a dad, and not much can go wrong with a gift that quite literally matches his taste; plus, he's all smiles, too.
We're not sure if this dad was a bit disappointed to have unwrapped the exact clothes he was wearing, but based on that smile, that might not have been the case.
The Wrong Kind of Japanese Aged Whisky
Every year, this person expects to get a fine bottle of aged Japanese whisky in the mail as a Christmas gift. That's because it's exactly what their sister-in-law sends for the holiday season, but things ended up being a bit different this year. Truthfully, we can see the mistake because whisky barrel-aged shoyu looks pretty close to actual whisky. It just makes sense, from the color to even what's written on the bottle.
Let's be honest, aged Japanese whisky is probably really delicious, but this whisky barrel-aged shoyu might actually be a million times better, depending on if you prefer sushi over alcohol.
Two Minds That Really Think Alike
This person and his girlfriend accidentally bought each other the same gift, and it was so funny that they had to share that moment with the rest of the internet. There are so many different versions and varieties of this specific game, yet they even managed to match that, which basically means they're soul mates. We wouldn't be surprised to hear that they even got it at the same store and on the same day.
This couple probably played Settlers of Catan pretty often, which is why they ended up having the idea to get each other the game once the holidays eventually came around.
The Snow Day of Just Some of Your Dreams
The amount of snow that ended up coming down here after a storm is incredible, and it looks like this homeowner won't be able to leave anytime soon. That's exactly why he thought it was time to go back to playing video games and drinking beer as soon as he realized what was sitting outside his front door. Hopefully, things were able to melt a bit before he had to start shoveling because that might take years.
If you've never seen snow, this experience might be one that you could only dream about. Of course, until somebody asks you to shovel, and then you're suddenly not so into it.
When Dad's Mind Was a Dirty Place
Someone decided to get their eighty-year-old father a laughable gift for the holidays, but when dad had a strange reaction to receiving the present, they thought something was wrong. After asking privately, it was confirmed that something was very wrong, but thankfully, it was also quickly resolved. Dad somehow thought that this gift was some kind of dirty toy, and after quite a few laughs, his kid was able to clear things up for him.
Not many of us can say that the person we once gave a gag gift to had the wrong idea when it came to the very specific use of the item.
A Ps5 Controller Without the Ps5
The person that took this picture was a bit confused when his parents gave him a video game controller for a console that he doesn't actually have. One thing we will say is that it's the thought that counts, so his parents definitely did deserve a thank you, but we also understand the confusion on his part. At least he can sell the controller before telling his friends that he got money for Christmas.
We can't blame this kid for being disappointed when he got a Ps5 controller for Christmas without the Ps5. Either mom and dad knew nothing about him, or they simply made a mistake.
A Very Inappropriate Holiday Illusion
Someone showed up to a Christmas light show and was a bit concerned when they found this, which probably explains why they photographed it. It's supposed to be an image of a soldier kneeling, but at first glance, there doesn't seem to be anything patriotic about it. It looks like whoever built this design might have some explaining to do to all the people who came to see the lights and the rest of the internet.
Thankfully, this definitely didn't end up being what you thought it was, but you might be happy to know that most people looking at this thought the same exact thing.
A Little Magnifying Glass and a Lot of Damage
This worried mom had to take a picture of what she had just experienced to prove that it actually happened. Something as innocent as gifting her son a magnifying glass suddenly turned into the worst day of their lives. Her twelve-year-old was playing around with it on the front lawn, and since it was a sunny day, it somehow sparked a flame. That flame was quick to engulf their entire lawn while also melting the Christmas lights.
This little boy was super happy when Santa gave him precisely what he asked for, but pure panic probably came as soon as he realized the lawn was on fire.
Looks This Towel Has a New Kind of Blessing
The letters on someone's holiday bathroom towel started to wear off, which created something pretty funny. If you know how to spell in general, we're just going to assume you can get the joke without any necessary explanations. Although, we are rightfully a bit suspicious about how this actually happened because someone could have just scrubbed them off just because they wanted to send this Christmas joke across the internet.
This really nice towel was made to bless a home while also looking pretty in the bathroom, but a new kind of blessing is officially about to enter this household.
A Yearly Disappointment That Isn't so Sweet
A gingerbread house competition is one of the most fun things to do during the holidays. The building can bring families together and maybe even pull them apart from competitiveness. Either way, it's a very exciting activity, but not everyone can create a masterpiece. The person who made this would certainly agree because every year, his in-laws have a competition, and he consistently fails to create something that looks good, but of course, this one is all about the laughs.
Whether it's crafting or building, some people just simply can't do art. The human that made this disaster of a gingerbread house would probably consider themselves as one of those people.
This Genius Just Can't Wrap a Present
The man that wrapped this present is super young and still happens to be a genius engineer who can build and rebuild engines with his eyes closed. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean his incredible skills apply during Christmas time. He's never been able to wrap gifts, which is understandable because the task isn't always easy. He just couldn't get the paper to wrap around the present, which is why a good portion is staying bare.
Not many of us are engineer geniuses or anything like that, which means that this guy shouldn't feel bad because most people can't really figure out how to wrap presents either.
A Laughable Online Holiday Order Fail
The person that ordered what was supposed to be a beautiful life-sized Santa statue technically got the right product; it's just creepier. If you often buy things you find on the internet, then you probably know you might not always receive what you were expecting in the mail. This scary-looking Santa clause could undoubtedly be worse, but it could definitely also do well as a scary movie prop or something of the sort.
Internet order fails happen all of the time, mainly because false advertising is quite easy these days. Thankfully, the item that arrives in the mail isn't normally as creepy as this one.
When Artsy Intentions Don't Work Out
The husband of the woman who painted this ornament wanted to take a picture of how cute the design was, but he also noticed it was upside down. Even though she made a small mistake, that doesn't make this any less beautiful. It might not function in the way that she originally intended, but this can still be a work of art all on its lonesome and without the Christmas tree.
This painter probably felt disappointed when she realized that there was a big mistake made here, but honestly, there's nothing wrong with hanging an upside-down bird from the family Christmas tree.
This Oven Thought It Was Time to Tap Out
The oven in this picture decided it was time to tap out as soon as its owner wasn't looking but also at the worst time possible. Either that or someone managed to shatter the glass and blame it on the oven. According to the person in the room, there wasn't anyone or anything standing near the kitchen appliance. It simply decided to break right before the beginning of the holiday season, which is highly inconvenient.
We've never heard of ovens shattering on their own, which means that this one had to be both special and defective at the same time, but this mess was probably costly.
A Flannel so Nice, It Was Bought Twice
If you didn't notice, the guy sitting in the chair is holding up the same exact shirt that he's wearing in the picture. He must have loved it so much that his family thought it was time for him to have a brand-new one, and we're going to assume that he's satisfied with his gift. This present might have been a safe one, but that doesn't mean it isn't perfect.
Due to the face pixelation, there is obviously no way for us to tell whether or not this brother was happy about the present that he opened up for Christmas.
An Unfortunate Tile Tracking Mix up
Since he's sometimes a bit forgetful, his family thought a Tile tracker would be a great gift idea. In fact, it was a perfect idea, except for one unfortunate thing- his keys were nowhere to be found. According to the man himself, he tends to lose them pretty often. This means he won't be able to even put them on the tracker unless they eventually show up sometime in the near future.
He's basically admitting that he might not have the best memory, and we really do hope that he will find his keys soon while the tracker is still somewhere close.
The Worst Kind of Holiday Magic
There was a serious lack of Christmas joy and spirit when someone stole parts of this car while its owner was having a busy day at work. Of course, they didn't even choose to leave the blocks they used to lift the vehicle. For some people, stealing is a year-long thing, which is why the criminals probably didn't think twice about the fact that it was the start of the holiday season.
This year was off to an absolutely terrible start when this working car owner walked outside of his office and immediately noticed that someone kindly stole his rims and tires.
A Well-Travelled Christmas Package
The man who bought this package knew that his wife's gift wouldn't make it in time for Christmas, which is why he paid extra money for expedited shipping. If you know order online, you probably know that you're often able to track your package as soon as it ships. So, that's exactly what he did, and he literally watched it travel across the entire Untied States, yet it never even made it to his house.
Paying an extra amount of money just to have faster shipping is a bit frustrating in itself, but watching your package travel everywhere other than where you live is purely infuriating.
An Almost Fatal Christmas Store Journey
The reasoning behind this large hospital bill is kind of sad, mainly because every ounce of bad luck hit this person during Christmas time. They were on their way home from the Christmas store after buying some lights for decorating but ended up getting hit by a car as they were riding their bike back home. To make things even worse, it was a hit-and-run accident, and the perpetration simply drove away without leaving their details.
The only thing this person wanted to do was to buy some Christmas lights to get into the holiday spirit, but that well-intentioned journey almost killed the poor bike rider.
A Big Lack of Christmas Spirit
He has a general right to be a bit grumpy after opening up his Christmas gift and finding a last will and testament inside. There's nothing more than can kill the Christmas spirit, but hopefully, the rest of the holidays were a bit more joyful than this specific day. Death isn't usually a topic of choice during the holidays, so this present was likely some kind of depressing gag gift.
We're just going to quickly point out the middle finger that's silently being used to hold up the will and testament that this man is holding, in case you didn't notice.
When a Gift Exchange Got Down and Dirty
Someone decided to play rough during an office gift exchange when this bottle of scotch didn't end up being what everyone thought it was. According to a person playing, this gift was stolen and passed around too many times to count. That's because most people were pretty confident about what could be inside, but unfortunately, the last person to get their hands on it ended up with too many unnecessary cans of meat.
This bottle of high-quality scotch could have been a really great gift exchange present- especially since so many people tried to steal it, but that all ended when canned meat was stuffed inside.
A Potentially Deadly Doggy Break-In
Their dogs managed to figure out what was wrapped as a Christmas gift before any human was able to get their hands on it. It turns out that it was delicious fudge, and although the dogs thought it certainly tasted really good, chocolate happens to be poisonous for our four-legged friends. So, Christmas, unfortunately, consisted of a never-ending trail of puke and at-home doggy care for this very frustrated household.
The rest of Christmas was probably spent at an animal hospital after their dogs broke into the chocolate and ended up getting really sick while barfing all around the house.
An Internet Ornament Dissapointment
The person who shared this image ordered a covid themed ornament for their Christmas tree, which was advertised on the internet as made of ceramic. Unfortunately, the actual item was a bit disappointing. When they opened the package, they quickly noticed that it was paper thin and more like a picture printed onto a tiny slab of ceramic- it looked nothing like the three-dimensional ornament that was in the advertisement.
The company that advertised and sold this cute Christmas ornament kind of went with the absolute bare minimum when it came to using the ceramic materials to actually build it.
The World's Messiest Christmas Present
This car owner went away before the holidays came to town and returned to a car covered in bird poo. They liked to think of it as a small Christmas gift from the birds in the sky, although this isn't much of a present. It looks like the person who owns this vehicle ended up having a lot of cleaning to do as soon as they returned from their trip.
Christmas gifts from the universe would preferably be relatively less messy and a whole lot less stinky than this one. The beginning of this person's Christmas was probably spent at a car wash.
A Puppy Munch Gone Very Wrong
All these parents wanted to do was get their son a fantastic gift for Christmas, which is why they chose this costly iPad. They also had a new puppy who decided to go fishing for Christmas gifts when nobody was watching. Of course, the dog decided to chow down on the most expensive gift under the tree, which meant that their son was about to have a very disappointing Christmas.
There are some dogs who just love chewing and breaking in anything that comes their way- which usually means gifts around Christmas time. Hopefully, this iPad came with some insurance.
He Had A Stressful and Keyless Christmas
As usual, the person holding this key was expecting to open their door and enter the house without any unusual issues. Yet things took a big turn for the worst when they stuck the key into the lock. It literally snapped in half where one end was being held while the other got stuck inside the lock, and all of this had to happen just in time for Christmas, too.
Losing your house keys might be one of the most stressful things to ever happen, but having it completely snap in half and get stuck as you're opening the door is way worse.
